Balloch is an enchanting village on the south-west shores of Loch Lomond and easily accessible from Glasgow, either by car or by train, often referred to as the gateway to the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park it is a very popular place to visit for a day trip or longer break and a good place to start exploring our National Park and many of Scotland’s major tourist attractions.

With Loch Lomond Shores a commercial development, with its retail outlets and the National Park Gateway Centre, where you can learn all about the famous loch and the surrounding area, Balloch also offers many local restaurants, specialist shops and attractions to keep all the family entertained. There are also a number of woodland trails that head out from the National Park Gateway Centre and you can even hire a canoe, kayak or bike to explore further. The restored paddle steamer, the Maid of the Loch, is in residence here and is worth a visit.

With Centre Stables being located near to Balloch, it makes an ideal location to enjoy the best of Loch Lomond, The Trossachs, Stirling & Forth Valley.
