We stayed as a couple in the Centre Stables in Loch Lomond for one week in late August. The house is lovely and spacious and decorated to a high standard with views overlooking the loch from the upper floor and only a short distance from the quaint town of Balloch. Which has all that you need, supermarket, station, local shops. Lomond Shores is only a short drive or walk from Balloch and offers many activities to suit all the family. We made use of the TV and free Wi-Fi. There is parking available for several cars. We would definitely recommend Centre Stables to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday in beautiful surroundings.
I have been lucky enough to visit Centre Stables, Boturich Castle Estate, Balloch at Loch Lomond twice with friends and family. We found it had everything we needed, definitely a more than a comfortable home from home. The location is perfect for exploring the beautiful surrounding Scottish countryside and towns. We went for lovely walks, shopping trips and had some great food in local restaurants and pubs… a particularly good New Year’s Eve comes to mind. Fully recommended for that special summer or winter break. Jeannie McDougall Milton Keynes.
The location is perfect, with glimpses of the loch and the mountains, Balloch itself is only minutes away with an very convenient Co-Op which stays open until late and stocks just about everything you could need. Lots to do and see even nearby so it is as ideal for a long weekend as it is for a full holiday when you have time to explore further afield. All in all a definite 10 out 10 and worth a stay whatever the season. Oh, and a great music system too so don’t forget your iPod! “
“We can’t wait to go back! Stayed at Centre Stable Cottages over the New Year with another couple. Firstly, it’s HUGE, open and airy, but somehow cosy too. The decor is of a really high standard, and the whole place is bright and fresh. I’m a bit of a wimp and had been worried that I’d be cold, but if you are going in winter, fear not, it’s wonderfully warm. I don’t know how they do it in such a spacious property, but it’s positively toasty. We are hoping to go again in the summer and sit out there just enjoying the peace and quiet.
I would highly recommend this accommodation for a family break in Loch Lomond, having stayed with my husband and 3 year old son. The first thing to strike me when we arrived is the breath-taking scenery. My husband loves golfing and played a round at Loch Lomond Golf Course. It was ideal for us to come back to stay here and enjoy the rest of the evening with our friends .In short, this is delightful accommodation, ideally placed and great to go with family or friends. I will definitely be going again!
Enjoyed a fabulous Scottish New Year at Loch Lomond House! Beautifully furnished throughout – loved the White Company bed linen! Looking forward to our return this summer!
We stayed at The Stables for the weekend, the accommodation was first class, very spacious and clean. It has a great location, part of the village of Balloch, which is very picturesque with lots of local places to visit and right on the tip of Loch Lomond with the Lomond shore shopping which had a farmers market on that weekend. Would highly recommend this accommodation, and will definitely be using it again. Great place to start our tour of Loch Lomond. Thanks again for a fabulous time.
This house is a fantastic base on the banks of Loch Lomond. We came because of a family wedding at Boturich Castle. You could not be any closer and the journey from Glasgow Airport was really quick. The house is spacious and luxurious (my daughter wanted to move in for good!). We had all we needed for a great visit with our Scottish branch of the family and to be able to make them welcome for meals in style was a joy. Lots of nice touches around the place and everything in good order. We will come again. Steve W
Great location, far from the city but near enough – 5 out of 5
We enjoyed 5 nights of top class accommodation, with everything you need in a home away from home. Tastefully decorated, modern interior, well equipped and everything with clear operating instructions. We will certainly be returning to do some walks and visit the Highlands which literally start just to the north of Loch Lomond. We would and have already recommended the Centre Stables to friends and relatives. Nidge R
We were looking for a place to stay not far from Glasgow for a reunion of seven school friends, and Centre Stables was just perfect. Beautiful house, with great spaces to relax in, big squishy rugs everywhere, and gorgeous bedrooms. Can’t praise Catrina or the house enough. Full of character! The area is brilliant also. We canoed and walked and played crazy golf – and there’s so much more. Stay here!
